When you decide to take the plunge and get some work done on your home, you need to have an idea of what you actually want in mind, otherwise, it’s not really worth going for it in the first place.
Getting the design right is the first step towards a successful project, especially when it comes to modifying your home, which in many cases, is the most valuable asset you have. Therefore, you should always think to yourself: ‘would it be more cost effective to get this extension or to move house altogether?’
When it comes to designing anything for a home, from the interior layout to designing a brand new house, it’s important to know exactly what you want and to have clear goals in mind. To achieve this, you should look at your requirements, see what you want from that and there you go, there are your goals.

We strive to get the highest standard of drawings with the client’s requirements in mind, tweaking plans as we go along until we’re all happy with the outcome when designing a plan.
The best definition of design I have read so far can be found on the Design Council’s website and is attributed to Mr George Cox, their past chairman. It reads
” Design is what links creativity and innovation. It shapes ideas to become practical and attractive propositions for users or customers. Design may be described as creativity deployed to a specific end.”
I have to say, I agree with this statement as you could have great artistic skills, but may be lacking in inspiration, and therefore you’d need to muster all your creativity and grab some innovative ideas from somewhere, get inspired.
