We recommend securing planning approval prior to commencing the Building Regulation stage. A building regulation application requires considerable technical input on our part, and as a consequence, any alterations such as that required by the planning department, will involve additional fees.
Once the client has asked us to prepare the building regulation application and Stage 3 fees together with Local Authority fees have been received, we will commence this part of our work.
For most domestic work, it takes us 2 to 3 weeks to prepare the application. Included in our quote is dealing with the queries from the Building Control Department.
